Frequently Asked Questions

  • Emergency Shutoff

Water pipes and valves outdoors with a green, yellow, and blue handle. Highlighted in red and yellow.

Most homes have a water shut-off for your irrigation, at the vacuum breaker similar to the one shown. There are two shut-off handles (indicated by the yellow and red circles). To turn off the water, simply move either handle to the 'off' position, which is a 1/4 turn perpendicular to the pipe.

  • Do I have a leak?

Two water meters with labels indicating parts like the dial, odometer, and total consumption.

Some leaks are easier to spot than others.

If you notice a high-water bill, it may be caused by an internal leak in the irrigation system. Continuous leaks can accumulate significant water usage over time. Checking your water meter can help determine if there are ongoing leaks; any flow rate reading above zero (0) suggests a leak is present. The water meter for your property will display water movement using a Low Flow Indicator or Leak Indicator.
